Hey Everyone!!
It is true, Baseball and Softball is right around the corner. Hard to believe as I write this as 6+ inches of snow dropped tonight and is still falling. However, MLB is in full swing at spring training and Warner is gearing up. Registration Deadline is March 1st, a week away. You can get the form right here by clicking on: Baseball Registration 2009
Registrations will be honored after this date but a late charge will be added and a spot may not be guaranteed for your son or daughter. So, please register as soon as possible. I know March 1st seems a tad early but equipment and uniforms need to be ordered, number of coaches needed to get and all of this is much easier with numbers of children sooner than later. So, in advance, I thank you for your cooperation.
Other news:
Concessions: Last year, we tried really hard to have concessions open for every home game and would like to do that again this year. I would be hopeful that some of you would be willing to give at least one game of help. Later on in this news you will see how much of an impact this will have.
We were fortunate, thanks to the Warner Fall Foliage Festival, concessions income and The Annual Duck Derby to acquire a 55′ batting cage which I am looking for volunteers to help setup as well as a pitching machine. We will also be able to outfit the Majors with new uniforms. So a BIG thank you goes out to everyone who made this possible.
Finally, I have some opening day news.
The Majors will have their first game on Monday, April 27th.
The Minors will have their first game on Tuesday, April 28th.
And the Rookies will begin the following week on Thursday, May 7th.
The dates and times will be the same as last year:
Majors: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday’s (6:00pm on Weeknights and 1:00pm on Saturdays)
Minors: Tuesday and Saturday’s (6:00pm on Weeknights and 3:30pm on Saturdays)
Rookies: Thursday and Saturday’s (6:00pm on Weeknights and 10:30am on Saturdays)
T-Ball: Saturdays (Times to be determined… but last year was 8:30AM)
